Hello! I’m Rob Bensinger, research communications manager at the Machine Intelligence Research Institute, a math/CS research nonprofit studying questions related to long-run outcomes from artificial intelligence. You can find my writing on the MIRI Blog here.

My background is in epistemology and the history and philosophy of science, and my research interests include value theory, moral psychology, consciousness, technological forecasting, metaphilosophy, metametaphysics, cognitive heuristics and biases, and attention and phenomenology.     I just recently learned that “Nothing is ‘mere’ ” comes from The Feynman Lectures on Physics. I just thought this fact should go on your “About” page. Awesome title for a blog by the way.
